steps or stairs directly to backyard without deck

Hi

We bought a new home with a nice backyard .we don't need a deck right now.As we bought a new home we are finding ways to cost cuttings as a new home needs so many things to be done.The thing is we want to go directly from breakfast area door to backyard.we have walkout stairs for basement so for landing to backyard we need few steps.can anyone help me with this out.Am I thinking right that good looking stairs will cost much lesser than having deck.Can anyone tell me the cheapest possible way to have a great looking steps to backyard.

At what price do you put on safety? You need a landing and I cant speak for your area, but out here it is required. You can incorporate a landing,(if required in your area, find out the size requirements),into a futuere deck build by laying it out to be able to add on later. You can also build your steps so they can be relocated as well. Out here a concrete landing at the base of the steps is required as well, 3' out from the last riser landing on it, but if you decide to relocate, pouring out that pad to be removed later isn't going to break the bank.

definetly my priority is for safety than cost.I would prefer something useful for future extension of deck.Could anyone tell me the approximate price quote for landing and stairs to backayard.

Can you post a photo of the back of your house? It would make it easier to understand your situation and make recommendations about how to meet your needs.
