How to put light switches beside exit door on screened porch

I am having a screened porch made with ezebreeze windows. My contractor called to say he does not have a place to put the light switches that I had planned by the door exiting the porch to the deck- I wanted ceiling fan and ceiling light switches as well as external light 3 way controls by that door. Right now the plan is just 4x4 posts but I was thinking that he could build some sort of hollow post beside the door to house the electrical (there will be an 8 inch kneewall for the wiring to travel through).

You could surface-mount steel junction boxes, with conduit running into them. Obviously depending on the aesthetics of your room, this may or may not be suitable.

thanks, I got them to put a little space between the two vertical 2x4's on both sides of the door even though we will be using only one side for switches, so that it looks symmetrical. That will be covered by azek.
