I am looking into the possibility of redoing my deck with either pressure treated wood, cedar or Ipe.

Once it is installed, what do I need to do to make it look good and hold up well?

Do I need to have it sanded after it is installed or this is either done by the installer or not done?

I have never owned a deck so I am a rank amateur.

What kind of periodic mantenance is needed and when?

I nkow these types of wood will differ drastically in price but how do they look when they age? Do they all turn grey?

Is maintenance and the frquency different between them?
