Azek Decking and Petroleum based products

I just installed Azek Decking and I want to put a carpet on it. The instructions say not to put anything petroleum based on the Azek or it will leave a mark.

I have a carpet that says it has a latex backing. It also says it is made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. I think this means it is petroleum based, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I don't want to put a 6x9 stain on the new Azek decking.

Thanks for any insight anyone might have.

It may or may not stain, BUT the uncovered parts will bleach lighter by the sun.
