Fastening top rail to deck post

I am constructing my deck railing using Garapa 4x4 posts, 2x4 top rails, and 5/4x6 over-the-top cap rail. Using SS cable infill with no bottom rail. I plan on cutting a rabbet notch at the top of the post 1 1/2" deep by 3/4" wide to set the top rail, then screw the rail to the post from the top at an angle. I want to use SS screws to prevent staining.

I can get GRK Pheinox FIN/Trim (pan head) #9x3-1/8" screws, Spax #10x3-1/2" multi-purpose/deck/construction screws, or generic #10x3-1/2" deck screws. I would prefer GRK R4, but those are not readily available. Would the GRK Trim be strong enough, even with the smaller head, or should I go to the heavier #10 with full size bugle head?

Thanks,

Geordon
