Hi all. I searched for this, but no luck. I'm sure most of us have seen "park your pool" advertised, or other similar ads from contractors. it can be done. I am curious about doing it myself and if that is feasable. the pool is 40 years old. it needs to be replastered or filled in, or have a deck over it. I favor the deck idea myself.

has anyone ever seen this one or heard about it? it is a typical odd/kidney shaped pool, and the longest span across the entire pool including the old cool deck is 24 feet. would 2"x12"s be strong enough for that? thanks for any tips or encouragement. even discouragement is welcome :)

it looks like a lot of work. if I CAN do it, I'll save some money. otherwise, I'll have to bite the bullet and hire a contractor. thanks!
