| I don't know if anyone has done this so I'll ask. I'm slowly building an elevated deck that turns a corner to a walk way that will eventually wrap the front of my house. (Very slowly.) It's about 9' off the ground so, fascia is going to be very visible. The deck joists are 2x12 but the walkway is only going to be 4' wide so, I don't see using 2x12's there. I'm wondering if having 2 different size fascia boards (covering rim joists) is going to look odd. I know that the fascia isn't structural and I can make it 12" deep, I just thought if it looks good, why spend more? Any thoughts? |

| Just how much would it add to the cost to have all 2 X 12 joists? I think I'd prefer that and a uniform look. |
