This past summer I had an Ipe deck built. Over the past month about 20 very small holes have appeared. They seem to have been created by insects. Most are under 1/16" but a couple are just under 1/8". One bores diagonally through the corner of a board so I can see all the way through a small "tunnel." I've marked each hole and I don't see any new holes appearing. The lumberyard says they haven't heard any reports like this from other customers and my exterminator seems to think it's nothing to be concerned about. Has anyone else had this experience?
