| We're building a small (9' x 11') cedar deck using 1"x 6" x 12' boards. They will be screwed and plugged. We plan on using TWP 1500 deck stain in cedar tone color.
Would it be advisable to stain the deck boards before installing them? Will the stain soak in and inhibit the glue holding the plugs? TIA |

| Its not a good idea to pre finish decking boards for several reasons. The stain soaking in preventing the glue from holding the plugs is not one of them. That 1500 product is intersting but will take a while to set up. J. |
