Johnny Grip/No Slip

I was wondering if anyone has used this product and what they thought of the results.

Our dilemma is that we have an outside covered patio area that for some mysterious reason the builder of this home covered the concrete pad with an indoor tile. The tile does look wonderful but is not feasible. The builder’s logic for this is…"It is covered so slips should not be an issue." Well we live in the Houston area really close to the bay, talk about humidity! There are times where the whole patio is just covered in condensation.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I have thought about trying to etch the tile with some sort of acid but the tile company says that there is a gloss all the way through the tile and you might have a hard time getting anything to adhere to it…
