Want to reduce maint. on PT deck railings

I have a 20 year old PT deck with PT railings and hand rails. Everything is structurally sound, but I'm tired of scraping & painting the hand rails every coupla years. I just installed plastic caps on the tops of the deck posts and would like to do something similar to the handrails. I know I could totally replace the railings/balusters etc., but I'm not ready to take that step. I was wondering if there's any kind of UV-resistant plastic material I could wrap around and fasten to (glue, screw, whatever) the top of the curved-top contour handrail to eliminate the painting. I've searched the web but haven't found anything. I wonder if I could use PVC siding to do the job?
