Hi,

My name is Rick and live in Ireland, because our back garden had a few concrete steps and in a slope we hardly made any use of it. So I decided to place a deck after loads of research and searching for materials i finally started 3 weekends ago.

I was able to source for a very good price balau hardwood deck 9x2 cm intotal i needed about 25 m2 build my frame with treated timber and cemented the posts. Used SPAX-D deck screws and its almost finished.

I got the balau hardwood for a very good price but only because it was stained and needs to be cleaned.

Here is my question: what is the best way to clean the deck so it's natural color will pop up again, I would like to apply a transparent oil and leave the wood color as natural as possible.
