how should i rebuild this porch/ what material

So i have a worn out old porch that i need to rebuild. The house is about 100yr old foursquare/federal/colonial/beaux arts style. Right now it is just roofing material on the porch that has failed above the closed in downstairs patio that is now a sunroom/ my pantry. I like the idea of doing a staimed redwood or cedar patio but it has to be water proof underneath. What do you guys think? Here are pics.
