New Ipe deck questions

Hi,
Like many I have gotten a lot of info from this site.
We just had a new Ipe deck with Cedar lattice built.
I should have read some more before I put a stain on the deck, I had someone tell me to use Messmers UV Plus Natural and just use the deck cleaner (Part A), I didn't use Part B (brightner)
2) They used stainless steel
Here are my questions
1) Did I screw it up? I know I will have to redo after the winter but what should I do then?
2) They used stainless steel screws and but no "plugs" do I need to do something more?
