This deck post will have a brick base below the post. I am concerned with the gaps at top. I think it will be a new home for wasps for bees. It is basically hollow. The design plans showed smaller posted that actually fit correct. Should I be concerned or happy with what I got?
Also, is this considered cheap? I thought my design plans showed a concrete covering over the wood beam.
