Composite Deck Options and Suggestions

Our deck faces south with no trees for shade.
Does composite decking get hot to a point it is uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the deck?

The darker the color the hotter it will get. If you're concerned about it go with a lighter shade of whatever material you decide on and thats the most you can do short of covering it.

Thanks for that info Ryan. I never knew the right term for the composites with the outer covering......Capstock! My deck is 100% composite and we've never found it too hot, but then we rarely get 90-100 degree days.
