| Just had new ipe deck installed... had to spray nasty hornet, and the spray has stained the ipe. Tried hosing it off, water just sat on top. Does anyone have any good ideas how to remove or cover?
I read I should wait a few weeks before putting Ipe Oil sealer on. Is this right or should I do it straight away? Thanks. |

| You could try wiping it down with a little acetone. That should remove just about anything hydrophobic (=oily), and my paint guy recommends it for de-oiling ipe decks prior to staining, so it's apparently safe with wood. |
