IPE Deck Boards - 1x6, 1x6 plus or 5/4x6?

I'm planning on building an IPE deck that's going to be about 20" off the ground. What thickness of deck board is recommended for this application?

Any recommendations between Banner Elk, Advantage, East Teak or Build Direct?

I vote East Teak. 1x6'' ipe is plenty strong over 16'' on center joists. J.

Would 5/4 or 1x6 plus reduce the chance of cupping? I was told that 5/4 was recommended for a deck closer to the ground.

Are they just trying to get me to spend more?

5/4 ipe will react the same way 1x6 ipe will under the same conditions. J.

I'll let you know about the 21mm someday. I just layed it and it seems to be fine. I'll be doing the finish work today. Slow start...its Saturday!

The best way to reduce the chance of cupping is to screw the boards down from the top

OK, great thanks everyone. I can save quite a few bucks with 1x6 or 1x6 plus.

BTW, it was East Teak that recommended the 5/4x6. It was about $4 per LF. I can get 21mm for about $3 and lees for 1x6.

Noobs - I'm thinking of going the same direction as you.

However prices are much higher than when you said "I can get 21mm for about $3 and less for 1x6."
Where did you find that 21mm Ipe and 1x6 Ipe?
