I believe you are referring to InLighten screening. This is the same screening available for Pella brand windows under the name VividView. I have used them for the past 5 years and can confirm that the view is markedly better than with standard screening. Pella did not make them available for sliding doors which makes me wonder about their strength compared to standard screens. If grasshoppers are eating your current screening you may need to use standard metal screens. We have standard aluminum screens on our screened porch. The black color seems to be the least noticeable.
