non-toxic deck finish

Got an untreated cedar deck and a new baby that will soon be crawling all over it. So I'm in the market for a non-toxic product. Have found out about "Lifetime Wood Treatment" by http://www.valhalco.com/, but am not too excited about it turning olive grey. Has anyone used this and can they confirm whether it leaves any of the wood's colour intact? Or does anyone have any other products they have used?

have also been reading about a diy finish made of equal parts boiled linseed oil plus turpentine...but now I'm getting out of my league...anyone been there done that?
