Long-time reader but new poster. Great forum. Anyway, I am putting in a screen porch in North Carolina (approx 23x12). Getting several quotes and all the builders seem to recommend just going with "select" #1 PT Wood rather than other types. A few provided options for either Azek or IPE. Base pricing is around $16-17K and Azek is running about $2K more with IPE running $3-4K more.

My question - in your opinion is the upgrade to Azek or IPE worth it? For a deck I would say yes but I am not so sure when the whole thing will be covered. Not nuts about the look of Azek but I could live with it. I have read many of the posts re Azek and it seems to be an OK alternative. Love IPE but I am not sure it's worth the additional cost in this situation. Any thoughts are appreciated.
