I'm having some rail made myself that mimics the original rail that was installed on the house. It's not inexpensive but call around to your local ornamental iron shops. You'll find them in the yellow pages or on the internet.

They will take existing components in iron and weld them to create your railing while giving you several options and designs. These will also be more durable than aluminum with a powder coated finish.

Here is a local supplier in my area. Do an internet search for "Ornamental Iron" within your area.

My rails are not done yet and I'm not sure if these are the guys that our GC chose to do our rail. We are having crazy work done to the back of our house in that we are adding a huge outdoor room and balcony rails will come next month. However, these guys came highly rated when we were looking. If I catch my GC this afternoon I will ask him who we finally went with.
