Cut deck screws

What's the best way to cut through deck screws? I'm beefing up the joist system on my deck and I want to remove the deck boards more or less intact so I can lay them back down. However some screws won't budge and are hopelessly stripped, so I need to get a saw blade between the deck board and the joist so I can cut the screws. I was going to use a reciprocating saw for this unless someone has a better suggestion. The boards with the stubborn screws are still in place. Other posts had advice for removing the screws with the deck boards off, but mine are still there.
