| we are in the planning stages for a large deck - we are heavily leaning towards wood, perhaps ipe or mahogany (but not sure yet) - after applying stain, or whatever color,uv product we decide on, do we apply some kind of finish, like on our interior wooden floors (which have oil based poly)? what actually protects the wood? thanks |

| Do not try to finish an outdoor project the way an inside floor is finished. For a lot of reasons. Quality out door finish, like twp, has mildew, water and uv protection that is what actually protects the wood. J. |
