Soil erosion under deck/hot tub

We have a walkout ranch home with a 2nd story deck which houses a sunken hot tub. Over the past few years, we've noticed increasing soil erosion on our lower level (under the deck/hot tub). The hot tub sits on a platform under the deck, and that platform has a surround of railroad ties (?landscaping timbers), which seem to be stable, but the continued "run-off" of soil/sand has us perplexed. We are in the process of repairs/restaining of the deck, and since we are replacing the lattice (which surrounds the lower level and hide the hot tub plumbing), thought this would be the ideal time to address the erosion problem.

Any ideas?

Has anyone heard of/used dirtglue? I know it's used in very large construction, but not sure if it's appropriate for residential uses.

I should add that the lower level of our backyard houses an inground pool, so it is becoming a chore to keep the shifting soil off the pooldeck and out of the pool.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
