Acrylic is paint. Say it again to yourself as you read it. "Acrylic is paint."

Only use oil/solvent based products on your deck. You can try 'em all if you like. It will be easy to reapply or refinish with another oil based product in the future.

Once you use a water-based finish, the wood is painted. That's that, it's painted wood. Don't like it, strip it off down to the bare wood. Good luck with that. Most likely you'll just leave it until it flakes mostly off and then go through the stripping process. If you like painted wood, just get some real paint. Water-based deck finishes are about the same quality as the cheapest house paint you can find. They will all be peeling within a year.

John Agrees with Aidan. With the slight execption of twp water base finish. I tell you Mon this stuff out proforms the twp 116 with the small downside of a really quick set up time. J.

John, do you really recommend water based TWP on Ipe? Has it been out long enough to give a good test? And how does it not make a film on the surface? I wonder what the base ingredients are. I think TWP-100 is almost pure solvents that evaporate away leaving only the pigment and UV inhibitors impregnated into the wood. Does the water based perform the same way, or is it thicker?

NO Lie Aidan, you should really try that stuff.

I already put it out on the Out Back Of The Shop Test and used it on one Wallets Job if anything it out proforms the 100 sires. The colors are nearley the same so is the make up.

One downside>> It sets up Real Fast
