hanging porch swing?

Hope this isn't a double post....my original post doesn't seem to be here!

We would like to hang a 5'wooden porch swing on the front porch. The ceiling joists are 2x4's. I have searched tne net, only to find "be sure the support beam is strong enough to hold the wt of the swing and occupants". SOOO....will 2x4's be adequate? The porch is 8ft deep, and 30'long...thanks!

I googled "porch swing support beam" and found one article that said:
"If the porch ceiling is supported by 2-by-4's you should add more strengthening with blocks on each side of the support beam." Another said in bold "Never hang a porch swing from a 2"x 4".

Also found a kit with an A-frame that used a 2x8 for support.
