We are starting the process of getting quotes for deck. We are thinking of a deck that would have stairs leading down to paver patio. the dimensions of the deck will be 14 feet wide x 14 feet long (I am assuming width and length should be the same). Do you think aesthetically it would be nicest if our paver mirrored the same shape as our deck? Are Octagons a lot more expensive than simple rectangle deck?

Are there any good websites to look at for design ideas that incorporate both paver and deck?

Also, we are low maintenance people so we are thinking about Axac or Trex. However, we were told about a local company that can provide vinyl railings for significantly less. Any concerns with vinyl? I am thinking we should be cautious with the grill near the vinyl.
