Confused. I am building a pool, and I thought I was going to mix in some trex decking along with my travertine tile. After reading the posts for the past six years no way!(previous topic) But I still like the idea of mixing some wood or wood look alike decking with the travertine. I am going for a modern look. The total wood decking portion would not be more than 300sq ft. I do not mind annual maintenance, not sure I want to have to oil my deck monthly though. But depending on what that involves might not be out of the question (earlier post regarding IPE maintenance). John I liked your posts, any comments? I want to keep a modern finish which for me is a black to grayish black finish. Here is a link to a trex design which originally gave me the idea, again not interested in trex any longer.
