I'm still researching T&G ipe and am scared one minute, excited the next. Anyhow, I just read this comment from an installer on another forum... "Is it too late to switch over to edge-grooved and use Ipe Clips or similar edge clip/spacer contraptions? T & G Ipe doesn't look traditional in any way shape or form so I don't think you're losing much if you change the attachment method."

What does he mean when he says t&g ipe doesn't look traditional? I want the classic porch look with no gaps; will I get this with t&g or should I just go with traditional decking? How do they differ?
