Add a sidelight when installing an exterior door

I am replacing a double window with a door that will open to my future deck.
Due to roof line constraints, I cannot install a double door.
I want to install a full view exterior door AND a full view sidelight but I can't find any that combine the 2. I want to keep the natural light that came in from the windows.
Is there any way to buy just the sidelight and install it next to an ordinary exterior door?

Where are you shopping? Any door/window company should be able to order exactly what you want......as would most lumber yards (not the big box stores)
It'll look much nicer purchased as a unit, unless you have a really good carpenter.
