Hi,

My deck is long overdue for some love. Need to clean/stain/protect.

The deck had some flimsy lattice as a replacement for rails (I guess it was cheaper; previous owner put this together).

I want to add some nice looking rails. How do I go about this? The 2x4 (I think this is the size) are about 29"-31" apart from one another (see photos).

Does anyone have suggestions/write ups on this? Suggesting for stains (quality)?
