Deck cleaning

Tried to use a BEHRs stain and finish remover, but I didn't have a pressure cleaner and ended up with a real mess of darkened wood. It is a limited area though, which I can & will sand to fix (Mostly the top of the railings) However - Do I try again with the Behr's product & pressure hose or should I throw it away and use Restore A Deck? I have since read a lot of negative reports on Behr's finishes, and was wondering if even the stripper was rubbish too? (I know now I screwed up, but the deck I'm used to working on is in Australia where pressure hoses r not used due to water restrictions). The mess I have I doubt can be fixed with reapplication, as where the finish did come off, I've got dark run marks.

RE: Deck cleaning

you did not mention what type of wood you are refinishing but would recommend using a stripper and brightener from http://www.woodrich-brand.com/

contact them for which stripper they recommend
