getting sap on trex

Our trex deck is covered by sap from the pine trees that surround it. Does anyone know how to get the sap off the trex? Thank you.

I heard that Trex is maintenance free. It should clean itself.

It is almost maintenance free except the sap is really on there almost like glue. Someone suggested to use gasoline, but I wasn't sure that would be good for the Trex.

If you're going to use gasoline, wait a day before firing up the grill.

Try mineral spirits in an inconspicuos place.

I am thinking gasoline is a fitting end to trex. It should all be treated that way. J.

Thanks for the suggestion of mineral spirits. I think I'll try that before trying gasoline!

Turpentine is best for removing sap, have no idea how it'll affect the trex though.
