Titan post anchor or ThruLok

bash

I'm almost ready to put down decking (Timbertech Pacific Teak), but am still undecided on how to anchor the railing posts. The deck has been framed to allow for 4x4 post to drop down through the deck material and be fastened in a pocket created by the joist, rim board and blocking that can be installed. However, the Titan post anchor looks like a cleaner install by mounting the posts at deck level rather than cutting through.

It's important that we get this right because the deck is 11' above our walkout patio leading to a pool. I'm not asking for an engineer approval, just asking which connection has traditionally been stronger and lasted longer.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
