Attaching PVC trimboard / fascia to rim joists

I'm building my deck of mostly 2x12s with a 1x12 (3/4x11 1/2") white PVC trimboard covering the PT. How are you all attaching the trimboard, without pockmarking the white face with screw holes? Are you filling the holes afterwards? Or using an adhesive? Screwing from behind?

I'll be using 1x12x18" lengths - they'll be fairly heavy and "squiggly" as they are very flexible.
