new pressure treated wood deck

We have a 12 x 18 foot deck and we are replacing the wood planks(pressure treated). We plan on using Cabot solid stain latex. Should we seal both sides of the planks before painting? We are thinking of painting them before screwing them to the deck.

Should we paint both sides of the wood?

pressure treated wood should sit for 8 months to a year before staining or painting as the wood is treated with a liquid and needs to dry out or the stain will never stick nor absorb.
