New Porch Addition - stain or paint ceiling ? pics

Hello,
We have added a new porch/outside room addition to our home. We are trying to decide whether to paint the ceiling interior white, or to stain the wood. What would you do and why? What about the rafters, match the ceiling choice?
The roof is nice tongue and groove, and cathedral. We want to install a nice island style ceiling fan.
