We recently finished a kitchen remodel that included adding french doors out to our carport. The plan is to install a screened in porch within the next couple of years. In the meantime, we have these old, ugly concrete steps leading from the carport up to our nice, new french doors. I don't want to invest a lot of money in fixing them up, given that we will likely take them out completely in the relatively near future. I've considered painting or staining them, which could be an option. Another option I was considering is covering them in outdoor tiles. I don't want to use full tiles, because I'm certain the steps aren't level or in good enough shape for that. But would some kind of DIY mosaic (meaning, I would break the square tiles in a random pattern) work on an imperfect surface? Again, I am looking to just make a quick and easy cosmetic change that needs to be SAFE, but not necessarily long-lasting. Thanks in advance!
