Door question - Anderson thermatru Marvin etc

Any suggestons for a type of outswing door for the high second floor deck we are having put up (and then doing a window to door conversion)? We can only do outswing since there will be a tight kitchen just inside. Our contractor is suggesting plexiglass and mentioned ThermaTru and I've also seen a Marvin wood door on houzz that looked good (and possible contractors have mentioned Anderson).

This is for an urban brownstone In nyc. The goal is good weatherproofing/insulation, good light into the kitchen, and then security is less critical since it is an enclosed backyard so not super easy for someone to break in via back vs front. (And it will be alarmed). I'd love doors that either are mostly glass or have panes that mirror the old brownstone we live in - big bottom square pane and even bigger top rectangular pane ...but they mostly seem to be all glass or "types" that don't mirror the brooklyn brownstone style. Any suggestions? Pictures? Thanks for any input
