What kind of sealer for acacia patio table?

I have a brand-new, unfinished acacia patio table that is going out on my patio (in the hot Texas sun) now that I'm not using it as a dining table. What kind of sealer do you suggest I use on it to maintain the color?
I know there is no such thing as a one-time sealer, but how often do you think I will have to reseal it?
