Cedar or Capped Composite

We're looking to add a deck to our new construction house this summer. It will be about 12x14 and we were always going to use Cedar. The last deck I built was was with pressure treated decking and railings. It cupped, shrunk, and twisted badly. Can I expect the same results with cedar? Is the maintenance that bad with a cedar deck? After pricing both full cedar and Trex Transcends, the Trex deck is almost double the cost for everything ($3k vs $6k). Is it worth it? How much would the annual cost be for Cedar. Including both time and money for products?

Also, has anyone done a composite decking with cedar railings and fascia? Would this even look good?

No response? I need to get something ordered this weekend and cannot make a decision. I plan to do cedar posts with black aluminum railings and balusters. The Fascia will also be cedar. I am having trouble with the decking material. I narrowed it down to 5/4 Cedar planks or Home Depot Veranda ArmorGuard in a Brazilian Walnut. Which would you do? Will the Veranda decking look odd next to the ceder posts and fascia?

I don't see anything wrong with combining materials if you're willing to do the work of staining/painting the posts for upkeep.

I know nothing of Veranda except from the reviews linked below. I have a composite porch but it is a type that is the same material throughout. There are many decking materials available, but personally, I tend to stay away from those that look like they have a coating on top of a wood composite.
Have you checked all the available brands at your local decking/lumber yards (not Lowes/HD)?
