| We're thinking of replacing our old deck, probably with a synthetic, but want to save money by tearing up the old deck ourselves. It's about 18" off the ground, 32 x 15 of pressure treated pine. Thing is, about 10 years ago a second deck was screwed onto the first and the builder didn't leave room for rain water to drain so the newer boards are warping.
So, do I get a chain saw and crow bar and just go at it or do I have to remove each and every screw from the top and bottom? My hunch is the advice here is to just pay a professional for best results and no aggravation. |

| Buying reconditioned tools is a very good idea. Sometimes its only a scrach in the paint but the factory warrenty is always the same. J. |
