| I have some Simpson CB66 column bases installed and waiting for me to throw some 6X6 posts in. The problem is, the CB66 are built with 5.5" dimensions and the 6X6's I have are all true 6X6. Anyone ever use these? Am i supposed to use a sledge hammer to gently pursuade the 8' tall posts into place or should I notch the posts to recess the CB66? Anyone? |

| I use a router and a pattern/flush trim bit, and a template to cut those pockets, works great! http://woodsshop.com/DESIGNS/Spa/9.htm |
