Do I strip my deck to fix the mistake?

Hi all. New kid to deck staining and I made mistake number one: I went too fast and didn't read all the directions.

Bottom line up front: I managed to double layer a single layer stain on my new pine deck. Do I strip/sand/re-stain?

SO. I managed to put two layers of Olympic semi-transparent acrylic/oil based stain (instructions said to single layer only) on a 25x10 section of my new deck (it looked like I didn't do it right first time, so CLEARLY another attempt on still drying stain wouldn't hurt right?). It's standard pine, 250 sq ft, 15 ft up on stilts. Now I have a 25x10 ft section of the deck floor that is darker than the rest and shiny (didn't absorb).

My question is this: Do I strip that section of the deck, sand it, and attempt to re-stain it? Is there a a better option? The rest of the deck looks good (except for some amateurish spots on the turn-around stairs that I should have covered when staining the deck above it...lesson learned)

Thanks for the help.

JB
