We bought a beach house that has a deck with some kind of vinal strips on it. They are worn and I would like to replace them. I would like to use a material that would keep the rain from reaching the deck below it. Lost of others have fiber glass but they complain that it get very hot. I went to my nieghbors and they warned me to put sandals on before going out on the deck. Is there a way to avoid this with fiberglass or is there another surface that would keep the water from going to the deck below without getting too hot. The material has to be able to withstand the ocean front conditions.
