Well, start by googling "deck plans." That'll get you myriad ideas. Narrow it down to a rough design that you want.

Then try decks.com. They'll actually draw up custom designs, showing placement of posts, beams, and joists, for $100.

Rule # 1 with above ground pool decks the Pool is always right take your grade off of it.

Place your piers/posts next to the uprights but stay away from the little blocks they are landing on, 2'' should do it.

Always go below new fill to solid ground.

Tuck the decking under the coping not over it.
