I'm in the Houston area and I'm thinking of expanding my existing 10'x 10' concrete patio in my backyard. I would like for the patio to extend almost the entire length of the back of my house while keeping the same 10' depth. So I would need to pour approximately 265 sq ft of concrete at 4" thick. Can anyone give me a round-about number as to how much a project like this would cost? What's a reasonable cost per sq ft of concrete? On a side note: I would eventually like to add a covered roof over the patio (in the future). Would I need to have the columns set in the concrete? Would it look asthetically pleasing if the columns were set outside of the concrete patio? Any suggestions?
