| I will be shopping for porch furniture for our second home. While I do like the look of wicker, I am hesitant about using it because the porch backs to the woods and pollen is a problem in the spring. I am thinking how challenging it will be to clean the intricate parts of wicker...so, any suggestions for something aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean? Wrought iron is out...have it at home and am looking for a different look for a resort home...something with comfy cushions. I am thinking about a sofa, two chairs and a cocktails to start, and may add may add pieces down the road. Also, any recommendation for good, reliable, well-made manufacturers of porch furniture? I might add, this porch faces northeast, so late after sun will not be an issue. Thanks! |

| A leaf blower will attack the intricate parts of wicker with a vengeance, and nothing will get wet unless there are spills. They have an awesome set on sale now at Big Lots. We have teak furniture with cushions which I made sunbrella fabric slip covers for (like pillowcases), and those are easy to wash or whisk off. Enjoy sitting on your porch! |
