Screw in or Clips on Timbertech Deck?

We have finally decided to go forward with our deck replacement project and plan to use Timbertech XLM based upon advice from this forum. (Many thanks). We have three bids coming in but need to know if it is better to screw the decking down or to use the clips? Is one better than the other for stability? Appreciate any advice.

Obviously screws hold best. Recently at the JLClive New England Home Show in Providence RI, all you saw were more and more companies marketing all types of deck clips. I have to use them because people want them. Only time will tell if they last. As the boards may spring up, so may the posts about them in this forum.

There are a lot of Contractors using the tiger claw clips TimberTech is selling. If I was going to put down XLM I would use them.

They are a class outfit for sure a total 180 from trex garbage.

I have warned against the clips for years but this set up TT has going on is good stuff. My Dealer brings in the pre grouved material only for good reason. J.
